Aji Minato Bansyo

This is a traditional house over 120 years old. It was used in the scene depicting the principal's funeral in the movie “Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World,” which led to Aji Town being called a “sacred place of love.” We invite you to stay here and experience stepping into a scene from the movie. Additionally, within the grounds, there is a “Coral Mound” in one corner of the garden. This mound was built by the owner of this old house, who once ran a coral business, as an expression of gratitude for coral. It is said that coral has effects such as warding off misfortune, improving love luck, promoting longevity, and bringing mental and physical stability. Please be sure to visit it when you come.

The rental includes the entire traditional house plus a separate building with a sunken hearth room and bath. Inside the main house, you'll also find a tea room. The bath features a painting of Mount Fuji, evoking the atmosphere of a traditional public bathhouse. Surrounded by sea and mountains, this is perfect for those who simply want to relax for a few days, perhaps fishing or taking walks. Reservations for groups of 4 or more offer great value. Long-term stays are also very welcome. We look forward to your booking.
